Quick take

A 1 oz tin of multi-purpose tan grease for lubricating and protecting reel drag systems.

This is a 1 oz tub of tan, standard-thickness grease made for reel gears and star drag washers. It carries PTFE and polymers to cut friction in the gear train. Anglers servicing their own baitcasting or conventional reels can use one tub for both jobs.

Best for

Star drag reel maintenance
Off-season reel storage
Protecting reel gears and bearings

Skip if

You use all-in-one reel oil
Your reel is sealed and doesn't need regular service

Strengths

Universal formula works on most reel types
Small 1 oz size lasts for years of maintenance
Tan color helps you see coverage on reel internals

Trade-offs

Single 1 oz tin is enough for many applications
Grease is thicker than oil and takes longer to apply
Requires taking the reel apart to access drag or gears
