Quick take
A 100 yard leader in clear 250 lb monofilament with matching aluminum crimps and loop protectors.
This clear monofilament leader kit gives you 100 yards of 250 lb line for rigging heavier lures, baits and decoys. It includes matching aluminum crimp sleeves and spring loop protectors, so the parts for finishing a rig come in one package. It suits anglers who want one spool to cover several leader setups.
Best for
- Rigging large saltwater lures and offshore trolling
- Building heavy live-bait rigs for large saltwater species
- Creating strong connections where visibility is secondary
Skip if
- You need abrasion resistance on rough structure
- You fish extremely clear water where 250 lb is overkill
Strengths
- Heavy 250 lb test handles large lures and hard-striking fish
- Clear color blends into water for less-visible connection
- Included crimps and loop protectors simplify rigging
Trade-offs
- Heavy monofilament can kink and require practice to crimp cleanly
- Clear mono yellows over time in sunlight
- 250 lb test is overkill for most freshwater fishing
