Quick take
A stink bait formulated for catfish that stays on the hook through casting and holds up in current.
The CJS Monster Bait is a 14-ounce catfish bait in a punch-bait format, made for anglers who target catfish. A treble hook is pressed into the bait with a stick, so the bait can be set up without handling it by hand. It does not need refrigeration and holds on the hook in moving water, which suits rivers and current.
Best for
- Bottom fishing for catfish in lakes and rivers
- Anglers who dislike handling live bait
- Extended trips where refrigeration is unavailable
Skip if
- You target other species or prefer live bait
- You fish in areas with high boat traffic that stirs mud
Strengths
- Stays on the hook better than most stink baits
- No refrigeration required simplifies transport and storage
