Quick take
A 5-hook mackerel tree rig pre-dressed with surgical tubing, used for trolling Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and other game fish.
This Clarkspoon mackerel tree rig is a pre-tied trolling rig with five forged Mustad hooks dressed in colorful surgical tubing. It needs no bait, so it suits anglers trolling for Spanish mackerel, bluefish and similar fish along the East Coast and Florida. Tow it along the surface, or attach it to a planer or trolling sinker to run deeper, with the swivel tying to your line or planer leader.
Best for
- Trolling behind boats for Spanish mackerel
- Bluefish in coastal waters
- Catching multiple fish per troll

- You are fishing from shore or a small kayak

Strengths
