Quick take
Speargun fishing reel with 130 ft capacity and sleigh hook drag for securing large fish.
This is a Cressi reel built for spearfishing rather than rod fishing, made for the brand's Cherokee, Comanche, Yuma and Mohicano spearguns. It uses a dovetail mount and a plastic body, and it holds about 40 m (130 ft) of monofilament line. It suits divers who want a line reel on the gun so a hit fish stays attached to the gun.
Best for
- Spearfishing with Cherokee, Comanche, Yuma, or Moicano spearguns
- Saltwater spearfishing near reefs and rocks
- Situations requiring fish recovery after shooting
Skip if
- You use a different speargun model; check compatibility
- You spearfish with a handheld spear
Strengths
- Dovetail mounting system fits Cressi speargun models
- Sleigh hook design prevents fish escape after the strike
- Non-corrosive plastic body resists saltwater damage
- 130 ft capacity suits most spearfishing depths
Trade-offs
