Quick take
A 1/4 oz underspin hook with spinner blade and spring keeper for rigging soft swimbaits and shrimp imitations.
This is a six-pack of underspin-style swimbait hooks in the 4/0, 1/4 oz size, each with a needle point on a carbon steel shank. A twistlock pin holds a soft plastic body in place, while the lead head carries a spinner blade that adds flash and vibration on the retrieve. It suits anglers rigging swimbaits for bass, crappie, walleye and similar freshwater species.
Best for
- Casting soft swimbaits over deep drop-offs
- Search presentations for bass and pike in varied depths
- Rigging soft shrimp for saltwater species
Skip if
- You prefer unweighted swimbait hooks
- You want to fish weightless presentations
Strengths
- Spring keeper holds soft baits securely through cast and retrieve
- Spinner blade rotation adds attractant vibration
- Wide gap hook accommodates larger soft plastics
Trade-offs
- Lead weight reduces casting distance on light line
- Spring keeper can wear and lose grip over time
