Quick take
A 3-inch shrimp imitation designed for saltwater species that hunt live shrimp.
This 3-inch D.O.A. Shrimp is a soft-plastic imitation in natural gold glitter, weighing about a quarter ounce. The nine-body pack gives anglers enough shrimp for several rigs and trips. Casting it up-current and letting it fall is a common way to fish it in saltwater.
Best for
- Snook, redfish, and tarpon in coastal flats
- Bottom feeding fish around structure
- Sight-fishing in clear shallow water
Skip if
- You fish deep offshore water
- You fish freshwater exclusively
Strengths
- Lifelike shrimp profile triggers aggressive strikes
- 3-inch size imitates juvenile and forage-size shrimp
- Soft plastic is durable and versatile
Trade-offs

About this type
