Quick take

Low-profile Magforce baitcaster with aluminum CT frame, smooth air rotation, and adjustable magnetic braking.

A low-profile baitcaster in the compact 100 size, built around an aluminum frame that keeps it light in the hand. This right-hand model runs a 6.3:1 gear ratio and pairs air rotation with an adjustable Magforce brake to help tame backlash. It suits anglers moving up to baitcasting who want a smooth, controllable cast for freshwater lures.

Best for

  • Freshwater bass fishing with crankbaits or pitching jigs
  • Anglers learning baitcasting and tuning brake settings
  • Anglers who value comfortable, responsive casting

Skip if

  • You fish saltwater or need heavy-duty construction
  • You want a high-speed retrieve ratio

Strengths

  • Magforce brake lets anglers adjust spool control for individual casting style
  • Aluminum CT frame balances durability and light weight
  • Air rotation provides smooth, effortless retrieves

Trade-offs

  • Freshwater-only design lacks saltwater protection
  • Moderate 6.3 ratio suits casting more than high-speed retrieves
  • Low-profile design trades some line capacity
