Quick take

A 150-yard filler spool of dark green 4-strand braid that lets you top off your reel without wasting line or changing colors.

This Daiwa dark green braided line is an 8 lb four-carrier braid on a 150-yard filler spool, built for topping off a reel rather than spooling one from scratch. Its four-carrier build keeps the diameter slim, which suits anglers who want a light line for finesse presentations. The dark green color is one of four offered across the J-Braid x4 family.

Best for

  • Topping off reel spools mid-season
  • Anglers who fish the same weight throughout the season
  • Keeping a backup spool ready at home

Skip if

  • You prefer monofilament for its stretch

Strengths

  • Filler spools are economical for topping off an existing spool
  • 4-strand weave is smooth and handles casting well
  • Dark green is versatile for fresh and salt water
  • Tight round construction improves sensitivity and reduces noise

Trade-offs

  • 150 yards is limiting compared to full spools for serious tournament fishing
  • 4-strand braid is rougher than 8-strand for high-speed retrieves
  • Once opened, excess line can tangle and fray if stored loosely
