Quick take

Compact plastic tackle case with a transparent lid and drainage hole for rinsing.

The Daiwa Multi Case 122NJ is a pocket-sized plastic case for small tackle such as snaps, sinkers and small lures. It has five compartments, a clear lid for checking contents, and opens from both the top and bottom. A drainage hole lets you rinse it with the tackle inside, and it folds for carrying.

Best for

  • Organizing small lures, sinkers, and terminal tackle
  • Keeping tackle dry and visible while at the water
  • Portable tackle storage in a fishing bag or backpack

Skip if

  • You need to store large swimbaits or topwater lures
  • You fish in heavy rain without a case for the case

Strengths

  • Transparent lid lets you see contents without opening
  • One-piece locking mechanism closes securely
  • Drainage hole allows you to rinse tackle with water inside

Trade-offs

  • Plastic construction less durable than hardshell boxes
  • Small size limits storage to terminal tackle and small lures
  • Not waterproof; condensation can form inside when weather changes
