Quick take

A compact waterproof case with three compartments and magnetic attachments for organizing small tackle.

The Daiwa UC-300DP is a compact, water-resistant utility case with three deep compartments in a clear smoke plastic body. Magnetic seats in the compartments help keep small hooks and swivels from sliding around. It suits sinkers, drop-shot and bullet weights, and small terminal tackle, and at about 3.8 by 6.3 inches it slips into a vest or jacket pocket.

Best for

  • Organizing hooks and small terminal tackle
  • Keeping gear dry while fishing from a boat
  • Portable tackle storage for bank and shore fishing

Skip if

  • You need large-lure capacity
  • You prefer a tackle backpack

Strengths

  • Waterproof protection for wet conditions
  • Magnetic seat allows secure mounting on boats
  • Compact size fits easily in a tackle bag or backpack

Trade-offs

  • Limited storage compared to larger boxes
  • Small compartments may not fit large lures or weights
  • Magnetic mounts work only on metal surfaces
