Quick take
Ten pre-tied drop shot rigs with two wacky hooks per rig, sized for small worms and finesse baits.
Ten pre-tied drop shot rigs make up this 1/5 oz kit, each with a slender cylinder sinker and two wacky hooks on a 24-inch line. The rigs suit bass, yellow perch, walleye, pike, muskie, roach and trout in fresh or salt water. Each rig also carries a spinner blade, and the slim pencil-shaped sinker is designed to slide over rocks, weeds and submerged logs.
Best for
- Vertical jigging along drops and structure
- Suspended fish in clear water
- Finesse fishing with small soft plastics
Skip if
- You fish heavy cover; drop shot rigs tangle easily
- You prefer single-hook presentations
Strengths
- Two hooks per rig increase the chance of a hookup on every drop
- Skinny pencil sinkers slide free from rocks without snagging
- Rotating spinner blades add vibration and visual attraction
Trade-offs
- Dual hooks and spinner blades cause tangles if cast carelessly
- The rig cannot be cast far; it is designed for vertical work
- Sinker sizes must match depth and current for the rig to sit right
