Quick take

A retractable ice scoop with aluminum pole that adjusts up to 31.7 in for clearing ice and snow from fishing holes.

This is a telescoping ice skimmer scoop with a plastic cup on an aluminum alloy pole, and the pole extends out to about 31.7 inches. It clears slush and broken ice from a fishing hole so the line can drop cleanly. The pole collapses when not in use, which keeps it easy to carry in a sled or bucket.

Best for

Keeping fishing holes clear of slush and frozen debris
Scooping broken ice when drilling or jigging
Quick cleanup between casts without moving your shelter

Skip if

You use a gas auger that clears its own hole
You prefer a fixed-length scoop for durability

Strengths

Adjustable length lets you work comfortably from inside a shelter
Aluminum pole is lightweight and rust-resistant
Plastic scoop is soft enough not to damage equipment

Trade-offs

Retractable mechanism may jam from ice buildup
