Quick take

Hand-polished stainless steel circle hooks in six sizes, designed to hook fish at the corner of the mouth for easier removal and better survival rates.

This is a 60-piece box of stainless steel circle hooks, with ten hooks in each of six sizes from 4/0 to 9/0. Circle hooks are meant to slide to the corner of the mouth, which makes them a fit for anglers who want easier hook removal when fishing live or cut bait. The size spread suits anything from walleye and striped bass to larger saltwater species like halibut and tuna.

Best for

Live-bait fishing for large saltwater species
Catch-and-release fishing where deep hooking is a concern
Trolling rigs for tuna and marlin

Skip if

You fish primarily with soft plastics
You use fine-finesse techniques where circle hooks are too blunt

Strengths

Circle geometry guides hooks to corner of mouth
Duplex stainless resists saltwater corrosion
Hand-polished sharpness sets quickly on light strikes

Trade-offs

Circle hooks require a steady rod to set instead of a hard hook set
May not penetrate well on fish with soft mouths
Larger profile than J-hooks limits use on finicky fish
