Quick take
Tungsten jigs with scented waxies and glow finish for ice fishing panfish and crappie.
This ice fishing kit pairs four small tungsten jigs, each 0.95 grams, with 40 scented waxie plastics that glow in the dark. The jig head and hook measure about 5/8 inch overall, a very small profile aimed at bluegill and crappie. The Chartreuse Glow color adds sight and scent cues for fish working under the ice.
Best for
- Ice fishing under lights at night
- Small bluegill and crappie through the ice
- Tight spaces where weight helps
Skip if
- You fish during the day without a shack
- You use larger baits for jumbo crappie
Strengths
- Compact size and high density allow precise placement
- Scent release attracts fish in cold water
- Glow finish shows up at night under lights
Trade-offs
- Small profile limits the bite on large fish
- Scented coating wears off quickly
- Glow degrades after repeated use
