Quick take

Collapsible floating basket with foam flotation and measuring ruler for holding live bait and live catch on the water.

A collapsible floating basket for keeping live bait or small catch in the water beside you. Its rubber-coated nylon body measures 15.7 by 9.4 inches, and a foam panel along the top rim holds the opening at the surface. A 5 m rope and a carrying strap make it workable from shore, a pier, a kayak or a boat, and it folds down for the tackle bag.

Best for

  • Keeping live bait active in boat, kayak, or shore fishing
  • Holding catch for measurement and release
  • Land-based anglers and kayak fishing

Skip if

  • You fish only still-water ponds
  • You prefer hard-sided coolers for transport

Strengths

  • Foam flotation keeps net at water surface for fish respiration
  • Rubber-coated nylon resists sun and saltwater damage
  • Measuring ruler printed on lid for quick fish checks

Trade-offs

  • Ten-gallon capacity limits large fish storage
  • Rubber coating can crack if bent when wet
  • Double-opening zipper can snag if overstuffed

Fishing fit

Water
  • Freshwater
  • Saltwater
