Quick take
A kit of 20 ice jigs in glow-in-the-dark and bright colors with realistic 3-D eyes for walleye, crappie and pike under ice.
This 20-piece ice jig kit pairs glow-in-the-dark jigs with several weights, so one tackle box covers changing light and depth under the ice. Its jigs are made for walleye, bass, trout, pike and crappie, and the glow paint suits dim water at dusk or on overcast days. Spear-point hooks and large 3-D eyes make it a sensible pick for anglers building a first ice kit.
Best for
- Panfish and walleye fishing through the ice
- Low-light ice holes where glow paint attracts fish
- Jigging vertically for species feeding near bottom
Skip if
- You fish open water only
- You prefer live minnows for ice fishing
Strengths
- Glow-in-the-dark paint visible in the dark water below ice
- Large 3-D eyes trigger strikes from wary fish
- Four shapes and three weights cover varied ice scenarios
Trade-offs
- 15 of 20 jigs glow; only half the pack has that feature
- Bright paint can be too visible and spook fish in clear water
- Tackle box adds weight; not ideal for backcountry ice travel

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
