Quick take
Diamond-shaped stainless steel speed clips that change lures or leaders in seconds without retying.
These stainless steel speed clips let you swap crankbaits, poppers and minnows in seconds without retying. The extra-small half-inch size is a 25 lb class clip with a slim profile that stays out of the way of the lure's action. This pack holds 20 clips, a handy count for stocking a tackle box for freshwater or saltwater trips.
Best for
- Anglers who want to swap between multiple lures quickly
- Testing different colors or types on the same session
- Saltwater fishing where corrosion is a concern
Skip if
- You use tiny lures under 1 inch; the clip adds bulk
- You prefer the reliability of a knot without a connection point
Strengths
- Quick-change design saves time between lure changes
- Smooth polished surface does not damage fishing line
- Stainless steel resists corrosion in saltwater
Trade-offs
- The clip adds a connection point that can weaken the line
- Very small lures may look out of proportion with the clip
- Some anglers feel a direct knot is more reliable than a clip
