Quick take
Tiny pre-rigged hooks on 18-inch mono leaders, each with two barbed snells for panfish and carp.
This is a pack of 20 small barbed hooks in size 18, made from high carbon steel and already snelled to monofilament leader. Each leader carries two hooks, so you can fish them as they come or cut them apart. They suit light freshwater setups for carp and similar species, and save a beginner the trouble of tying hooks to line at the water.
Best for
- Small panfish under floats
- Grass carp and crucian carp in ponds
- Anglers who cannot tie small knots
Skip if
- You fish large bass or pike that need stronger hooks
- You need custom leader length for deep water
Strengths
- High carbon steel holds sharpness better than soft wire
- Barbed point prevents small baitfish from sliding off the hook
- Eighteen-inch leaders keep baits at proper depth below floats
Trade-offs
- Size 18 is extremely small and difficult to work with in low light
- Two snells per leader mean fish cannot reject the bait without getting hooked twice
- Monofilament can kink and weaken if tangled during storage
