Quick take
Removable split-shot sinkers that clamp onto line without crushing monofilament.
This Eagle Claw split-shot pack holds 15 size 4 sinkers that clamp onto the line and can be removed again when you change your rig. They suit spinning and casting setups in fresh or salt water, and they are a simple way to add a little weight above a hook or lure. Handy for beginners learning to balance a rig as well as anglers who fine-tune their presentation.
Best for
- Quick depth adjustment without retying
- Light float-fishing setups for panfish and trout
- Anglers changing weights on the water
Skip if
- You prefer fixed sinker weights
- You fish heavy line that does not bend easily
Strengths
- Removable design allows weight changes without removing the whole rig
- Split-shot does not crush or fray monofilament on clamping
- Size 4 works for light spinning and float setups
Trade-offs
- Must be removed before re-casting to adjust depth
- Removable mechanism can slip if not fully tightened
- Heavier than crimped split shot of equivalent weight

- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
