Quick take
Foldable waterproof rod bag with hand carry strap that protects two-piece 7 ft rods during storage and travel.
This is a soft, foldable rod bag, 45 inches long, made for a two-piece rod of about 7 feet or shorter. A metal zipper closes it and a hand-carry strap makes it easy to tote to the bank or the boat. Empty, it rolls up small, which suits anglers who want light rod storage for the car or a trip.
Best for
- Storing two-piece rods at home or in a vehicle
- Protecting rods from accidental damage
- Anglers who travel with multiple rods
Skip if
- You need to store rods longer than 7 ft
- You prefer hard cases over soft bags
Strengths
- Waterproof PVC material keeps rods dry in storage
- Hand carry strap makes transport easy and lightweight
- Simple design is durable and easy to clean
- Metal zipper resists corrosion
Trade-offs
- Soft bag offers less impact protection than a hard case
- 45 in length fits rods up to about 7 ft, not longer travel rods
- PVC can become stiff in cold weather and brittle with age
