Quick take

A canvas carry case for storing and transporting up to 5 rods and reels.

This Etna rod case is a polyester canvas carry bag measuring 48.5 by 13.5 inches, with outside pockets for five rods and reels and a zippered interior compartment for extra gear. It folds flat to slip into luggage on a trip and has a padded adjustable shoulder strap plus a web handle. A good fit for anglers who want rods and tackle moved together in one bag.

Best for

  • Traveling to and from the water
  • Organizing multiple rods at home
  • Protecting rods during transport

Skip if

  • You fish with only one or two rods
  • You need a case that stands upright

Strengths

  • Holds 5 complete rod and reel setups
  • Exterior pockets keep tackle organized
  • Padded shoulder strap distributes weight

Trade-offs

  • Large size makes it bulky to carry by hand
  • Does not stand upright for storage
  • Canvas can absorb water if submerged
