Quick take

Large rubber-coated net with a telescoping aluminum handle that extends to 94 inches, ideal for saltwater and boat fishing.

This Facikono landing net pairs a rubber-coated drop-shaped hoop with an aluminum telescoping handle that reaches about 94 inches when fully extended. The hoop is roughly 28 by 24 inches with a deep bag, sized for larger saltwater fish from a boat, pier or shoreline. The rubber mesh sheds water and is easy to rinse, and the whole net weighs about 1.6 kilograms. It collapses to around 43 inches for carrying.

Best for

Saltwater and deep sea fishing
Reaching fish from tall boats or high banks
Landing medium to large fish

Skip if

You need a compact net for kayaks or small watercraft
You prefer traditional rope mesh that holds its shape

Strengths

Rubber coating dries quickly and prevents hook snags unlike rope mesh
Aluminum handle resists saltwater corrosion
Telescoping design allows precise reach extension

Trade-offs

Large hoop makes the net cumbersome to transport and store
Rubber coating adds weight compared to open-mesh nets
Extended reach requires strength to hold steady while landing large fish

Fishing fit

Water: Saltwater
Freshwater
