Quick take
Fork-tail synthetic jig strips that stay on the hook for dozens of casts and do not dry out or shrivel.
The Blood Red fork-tail strip is a synthetic trailer, 3 15/16 inches long and 2/5 inch wide, sold twelve to a jar and made in the USA. It is scented and UV enhanced, and it suits jigs, bucktails and rigs for anglers who want a trailer that stays on the hook and gives up only a little action against natural pork rind.
Best for
- Adding action to jigs, spinnerbaits and bucktails
- Jigging where soft baits wear quickly
- Saltwater rigs where durability and UV resistance matter
Skip if
- You need ultra-soft trailers for light strikes
- You fish small micro jigs
Strengths
- Synthetic material is 40x more durable than soft plastic
- Can be left on the hook and reused repeatedly
- Scent and UV enhancement attract fish
Trade-offs
- Synthetic material does not feel as natural as soft plastic
- Thicker profile may require larger jig heads
- Scent may wash off over time
