Quick take

A 7'6" medium-heavy catfish rod with glow tip, e-glass and graphite blend for heavy rigs and lead.

This 7.5-foot casting rod breaks into two pieces and pairs a medium-heavy power with an E-glass and graphite blank. It has stainless steel guides, a glow tip for low light and a split foam grip. It suits catfish anglers who want a stout rod for heavy sinkers and bigger fish.

Best for

Catfish on heavy bottom rigs with 6 oz leads
Night catfish fishing with the glow tip for visibility

Skip if

You fish light catfish tackle; this rod is heavy-duty
You need a sensitive bite indicator; heavy rods feel strikes less

Strengths

E-glass blend provides strength to handle heavy lead and catfish
Glow tip aids visibility and bite detection in dark

Trade-offs
