Quick take

Precut bloodworm-scent strips that dissolve in the water column, designed for cold-water fishing.

These precut bloodworm-scented strips come three to a bag, each a quarter inch wide and about a foot long. The red Fast Acting formula has no inner mesh, so the bait dissolves off the hook and releases its scent into the water. Cut a piece, thread it on, and cast for trout or striped bass.

Best for

Striped bass and trout in cold winter water
Bottom rigs in estuaries and bays
Anglers who want scent without handling worms

Skip if

You fish warm water; faster acting is overkill
You use whole worms; these dissolve mid-water

Strengths

Fast-acting formula works in temperatures below 60F
No mesh center means complete dissolution
Precut strips save time on the water

Trade-offs

Dissolves quickly so lasts only one or two casts
Scent can attract unwanted smaller fish

Fishing fit

Species: Striped bass
Trout
Water: Saltwater
Freshwater
Techniques: Bottom fishing
Float fishing
