Quick take
Pre-cut squid-scented bait strips that dissolve quickly in the water column to release attractant around your hook or lure.
The FishBites E-Z Squid Fast Acting is a pink gel bait strip made to be cut, hooked and cast without preparation. Its no-mesh formula is built to melt into the water, which suits anglers fishing cooler water near 60 F. Each package holds two strips, half an inch wide and 12 inches long, aimed at squid-style rigs.
Best for
- Cold-water fishing when scent dispersal is important
- Saltwater bottom fishing for catfish and other species
- Combining with soft plastics to add scent
Skip if
- You fish in very warm water; fast-acting formula works best cold
- You prefer live or fresh bait
Strengths
- No inner mesh means the bait dissolves completely
- Fast-acting formula speeds scent release in cold water
- Cuts easily to any size needed for your rig
Trade-offs
