Quick take
Hard plastic tackle boxes with Zerust vapor technology that inhibits rust on metal tackle for up to five years.
This is a six-box bundle of Flambeau's Zerust MAX Tuff Tainer, a flat plastic tackle tray with rust-inhibiting vapor built into the box itself. Each smoke gray tray has 20 compartments and 15 removable dividers, so small hooks, jigs and terminal tackle can be sorted and seen through the translucent lid. The slim, stackable shape suits anglers who keep separate trays for different techniques or trips.
Best for
- Saltwater anglers who need rust prevention
- Anglers storing metal jigs, hooks, and hardware
- Organizing tackle in multiple smaller boxes
Skip if
- You need a waterproof box; these are water-resistant only
- You prefer soft-sided tackle bags
Strengths
- Zerust VCI vapor provides passive rust prevention without chemicals
- Translucent smoke gray lid shows contents without opening
- Removable dividers and bulk storage allow flexible organization
Trade-offs
- Zerust protection lasts five years before diminishing
- Plastic can crack under heavy impact or UV exposure
- Not waterproof; will not protect tackle in submersion
