Quick take

Multi-purpose fishing pliers with side-mounted line cutters, split ring tool, hook remover and crimper in one compact tool.

Best for

  • Saltwater fishing where corrosion resistance matters
  • Anglers who want to carry one tool instead of several
  • Cutting heavy PE and braided line cleanly close to the knot

Skip if

  • You need specialized heavy-duty cutters; these are a compact compromise tool
  • You prefer traditional needle-nose pliers for precision work

Strengths

  • Side-mounted cutting anvil gives better access than front cutters
  • 46% harder than aluminum pliers with nearly 3x the bending strength
  • 6-in-1 design eliminates the need to carry multiple tools

Trade-offs

  • Being a compromise design, no single function is as specialized as a dedicated tool
  • Bronze finish coating eventually wears from frequent use and saltwater exposure
  • Curved offset design takes getting used to if you prefer straight handles

  • Freshwater
