Quick take

A landing net with a patented push-pull design that stows inside its 26-inch aluminum handle for compact storage in boat storage lockers.

This Frabill bait dealer net pairs a 12 by 10 inch D-shaped hoop with a 26 inch handle and knotless rubber mesh. Its grip works as a push-to-open, pull-to-stow mechanism, so the net and hoop slide inside the handle when you are done. That makes it a handy pick for bass boats and center consoles where locker space is tight.

Best for

  • Bass boats and center console boats
  • Anglers fishing open water for mid-size fish
  • Space-saving tackle storage

Skip if

  • You need a net for wading or bank fishing with larger clearance
  • You prefer traditional fixed-handle nets

Strengths

  • Patented stowing stores net inside handle for compact storage
  • Knotless mesh reduces hook snags and tangling
  • Lightweight aluminum handle resists corrosion

Trade-offs

  • 12x10 inch hoop is small for large or saltwater species
  • Aluminum handle may bend under heavy load
  • 6-inch depth limits use for very large fish
