Quick take
A floating landing net with rubberized micromesh that rests on the water's surface and handles trout gently without tangling.
A compact floating landing net with a 13 x 18 inch hoop, made for trout anglers who wade streams or fish from the bank, a canoe or a kayak. The hoop rides on the surface, and the flat-bottomed rubberized micromesh is tangle-free and gentle on fish. A short rubber handle, lanyard and carabiner clip keep it clipped to your gear until you need it.
Best for
- Wading in streams and rivers
- Bank and pier fishing for trout
- Kayak and small-boat fishing
Skip if
- You target large saltwater fish
- You need a net that sinks quickly
Strengths
- Floating hoop keeps the net on the surface for easy fish landing
- Rubberized micromesh is gentle on delicate trout fins
- Flat bottom distributes fish weight evenly to reduce injury
Trade-offs
- 13x18 in hoop is too small for large fish
- Floating design floats away if separated from the angler
- Micromesh material is softer and less durable than hard-mesh nets
