Quick take
A 4-foot by 12-foot seine net with heavy-duty floats and frame for collecting live bait from shallow water.
This 4' x 12' seine net lets you gather your own live bait from shallow water. Black poly netting with quarter-inch mesh dries quickly, and evenly spaced floats and weights help it spread out and track as it is pulled. It suits anglers who want to fill a bait bucket before a day on the water.
Best for
- Collecting shiners, shad, or other live baitfish
- Fishing ponds and lakes with shallow shorelines
- Anglers who want to supply their own bait
Skip if
- You do not have access to water with live baitfish
- You prefer the convenience of pre-caught bait
Strengths
- Quarter-inch mesh captures small and medium baitfish
- Black netting provides camouflage in water
- Heavy-duty floats stay afloat under load
Trade-offs
- Dragging a 4x12 net requires open water access
- Poly netting eventually degrades in sun without storage care
- Skill required to use effectively without baitfish escape

- Live bait
