Quick take
Five 2-inch soft plastic mouse lures with double-barb weedless hooks for topwater strikes in bass lakes.
A 5-pack of 2-inch soft topwater lures with double barbed hooks, meant for freshwater and light saltwater casting. It can be rigged weightless or on a weighted swimbait hook, so it covers surface and mid-depth presentations. Bass, trout, pike, walleye and panfish anglers will find it a small, easy-to-carry kit.
Best for
- Night fishing when bass hunt rodents
- Shallow water and grass beds
- Pike and large bass over cover
Skip if
- You want a purely floating topwater
- You fish with small plastics; 2 inches is larger
Strengths
- Soft plastic body compresses on the strike for solid hooksets
- Double-barb weedless hook passes through grass without fouling
- Small profile mimics a fleeing rodent
Trade-offs
- 2 inches is large and only works for bigger fish

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
