Quick take
Size 12 bronze baitholder hooks from Gamakatsu, a trusted fishing brand.
The Gamakatsu Baitholder in size 12 is a bait hook for anglers who fish natural or live bait for a range of species. Its shank is barbed, and the same design is also offered in a black finish meant for salt water. It fits a rig where a size 12 bronze bait hook is the right choice.
Best for
- Small to mid-size bait fish species
- Live bait presentations
- Both saltwater and freshwater fishing

Strengths
- High carbon steel is strong and sharp for reliable hook-ups

- Down eye suits simple knots and traditional bait rigging
Trade-offs
- Bronze finish rusts quickly in saltwater; stainless or black is better
