Quick take

Size 2 red octopus hooks in a 100-pack, durable and versatile for live bait and cut bait fishing.

Best for

  • Live bait rigging for panfish and perch
  • Bottom fishing for catfish and bass
  • Saltwater bait fishing for small to medium fish

Skip if

  • You primarily fish artificial lures
  • You need smaller sizes for tiny baitfish

Strengths

  • Forged high carbon steel is strong and durable for repeated use
  • Offset point improves hook penetration as fish mouth turns
  • Packed 100 to a box for long-term tackle storage

Trade-offs

  • Red finish rusts faster than bronze in saltwater use
  • Offset point can catch on vegetation when retrieving
  • Sized for small to medium baitfish; too small for large saltwater species
