Quick take
A weighted hook with a 28-degree eye and stainless steel spring lock for securing swimbaits on heavy braided line.
A weighted swimbait hook in size 4/0 with a 1/8 oz weight, built on an extra-wide-gap style shank for paddle-tail swimbaits and soft jerkbaits. A stainless spring on a 28 degree eye keeps the bait seated and compresses when a fish bites so the point is exposed. It suits anglers fishing swimbaits on heavy braided line.
Best for
- Rigging large swimbaits on heavy braided lines
- Vertical jigging for stripers and walleye
- Anglers fishing tournament-grade gear
Skip if
- You fish light monofilament or fluorocarbon
- You rig small finesse baits
Strengths
- Spring-Lock design prevents baits from sliding during the fight
- 28-degree eye aligns with braided-line dynamics
- Stainless steel resists corrosion in fresh and saltwater
Trade-offs
- 1/8-ounce weight limits casting distance
- Spring-Lock mechanism requires specific bait rigging technique
- Heavy braided line requirement means not versatile with other line types
