Quick take

A 4 inch soft creature bait with arms, flaps and tentacles, sized for flipping and pitching over cover.

The Kreature is a 4 inch salt-loaded creature bait with front arms, side flaps and a skirt of free-flowing tentacles at the tail. This pack comes in a watermelon body with large black and small red flake. Anglers pitch it on a Texas rig into cover, rig it weightless, or slide it onto a Carolina rig off the bank.

Best for

  • Flipping over brush piles and timber in bass lakes
  • Texas rigging and Carolina rigging in heavy cover
  • Situations where a large, profile bait triggers bites

Skip if

  • You fish open water
  • You need finesse baits for light line

Strengths

  • Front arms and side flaps create water disturbance and attraction
  • Free-flowing tentacles add realistic swimming motion on fall
  • Salt-infused for scent and flavor enhancement

Trade-offs

  • 4 inch size limits casting on light line
  • Bulky profile can foul in dense cover or weeds
  • Tentacles sometimes tangle on the hook

About this type

A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.

Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.

Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
