Quick take
Waterproof backpack with external rod holder and pockets for all fishing tackle.
This Ghosthorn tackle backpack carries lures and tackle boxes on your back and has a rod holder, so you can walk to the bank or dock with your hands free. It comes in black camouflage in the medium size, as the bag alone without extra accessories. The fabric can be machine washed cold and tumble dried low, which suits a bag that spends its days around fish and mud.
Best for
- Walk-and-wade fishing trips
- Bank and shore fishing where both hands must be free
- Anglers who prefer backpack storage over tackle boxes
Skip if
- You need quick access to multiple tackle compartments
- You fish from boats where tackle boxes are easier
Strengths
- Waterproof construction protects tackle and electronics from water and spray
- Rod holders on outside keep rods accessible without opening the pack
- Backpack straps free both hands for casting, wading, and net work
- Compact profile fits in vehicles and anglers can carry across terrain
Trade-offs
- Backpack access is slower than laying out tackle boxes on deck
- Rod holders take up external space and don't organize tackle efficiently
- Shoulder strap use limits how much weight can be carried comfortably
