Quick take
A lightweight aluminum reel stand that protects spinning reels from sand and water while providing a lure storage hook for organized bankside fishing.
A small aluminum reel stand in silver that fits the 3.0mm Daiwa size, made for lock-type spinning reels. It weighs about 7 grams and measures roughly 42mm, so it adds almost nothing to a tackle bag. Anglers use it to keep a spinning reel off sand and wet ground between casts, and it includes a spot to park a lure hook.
Best for
- Anglers who sit on the bank and need reel protection
- Beach and saltwater fishing where sand contact matters
- Organizing multiple rods at a location
Skip if
- You use rod holders exclusively
- You fish boat-based where reel contact is not an issue
Strengths
- Aluminum construction resists saltwater corrosion
- O-ring grip keeps reel secure without slipping
- Integrated lure hook reduces tangles
Trade-offs
- Only fits lock-type spinning reels; baitcaster reels not compatible
- Small 7-gram stand can topple in wind with heavy rods
- Fitment limited to specific Daiwa and Shimano models
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
