Quick take
A large aluminum reel knob that increases handle leverage and reduces hand fatigue during fighting hard fish.
This 45mm round power knob swaps onto Shimano reels with a push-on handle, including Stella SW sizes, in a blue and gold aluminum finish. The one-piece design gives a big palm contact area for long fights with bass, catfish or stripers, and it weighs about 25 grams. Teardrop openings make it easy to rinse after a salt or freshwater trip. Anglers with smaller hands may prefer a smaller knob size.
Best for
- Upgrading smaller OEM knobs on spinning reels
- Reducing fatigue on long fishing days
- Increased leverage when fighting large fish
Skip if
- You prefer light compact reels
- Your reel has a fixed knob
Strengths
- Aircraft aluminum construction is durable and lightweight
- Larger diameter increases mechanical advantage when turning
- Teardrop hole design keeps sand and odor out
Trade-offs
- 45mm may be too large for anglers with small hands
- Metal knob conducts cold in winter and heat in summer
- Requires removing existing knob for installation
