Quick take
Square rubber-mesh landing net with extendable handle, floating design, and magnetic release for kayak and shore fishing.
This is a folding landing net with a 17 x 12.4 inch rubber-coated mesh hoop on an aluminum alloy frame. The handle extends to 32.5 inches, locks automatically when folded, and the whole net floats, which suits kayak, boat and shore trips. A magnetic release and coiled lanyard keep it clipped within reach while you fly fish or work a river.
Best for
- Kayak and boat fishing
- Catch-and-release fishing
- Anglers needing lightweight portability
Skip if
- You need very large fish capacity
- You fish deep structure requiring deep mesh
Strengths
- Rubber-coated mesh is fish-friendly and tangle-resistant
- Auto-locking fold mechanism makes one-handed deployment easy
- Aviation aluminum frame keeps weight to 0.86 lbs despite durability
Trade-offs
- 17 in hoop may be small for very large fish
- Extendable handle can flex under heavy load
- Magnetic release system can fail if magnet weakens

- Freshwater
- Saltwater
