Quick take
Soft plastic creature bait with flanged arms that kick and vibrate, resembling a swimming craw or minnow.
The Bama Bug, Multi color of the Bandito Bug is a 4 inch creature bait whose four flanged legs are built to kick as it moves through the water. It is designed to be fished on a Texas rig, a jig, a swinging wobble head, a Carolina rig or a shaky head, with a salt and scent coating meant to keep bass interested.
Best for
- Bass flipping and pitching into thick cover and grass
- Jig presentations near wood and structure
- Active retrieves that showcase the arm-kicking action
Skip if
- You want a bait that works effectively on a slow fall
- You fish open water where heavy arm movement is not an advantage
Strengths
- Patented flanged arm design creates distinctive vibration and flash
- 4-inch size balances visibility and castability on typical bass tackle
- Infused scent compounds attraction beyond visual presentation
Trade-offs
- Flanged arms can catch on cover during retrieves, requiring careful placement
- Soft plastic body deteriorates quickly during aggressive fish contact
- Distinctive action is less effective on slow-falling, finesse presentations

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
