Quick take
Soft plastic swim bait with ribbed body and paddle tail that produces lifelike wobble and wagging motion on light presentations.
The 3.8 inch Saucy Swimmer is a soft swimbait for anglers who want one bait for several presentations. Its ribbed body and boot-style tail give a shake and wobble, and it can be fished weightless through grass edges or on a jig head along deep cover. It also works as a trailer on swim jigs, spinnerbaits and ChatterBait-style lures.
Best for
- Light weighted hooks for shallow fish
- Jig head rigging for deep suspension
- Spinnerbait and buzzbait trailers for increased profile and action
Skip if
- You fish conditions where larger profiles draw more attention
- You need maximum casting distance on light tackle
Strengths
- In-line ribs create visible water displacement and vibration
- Boot-style tail wagging motion imitates wounded baitfish
- Versatile rigging options from weightless to heavy jig heads

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
