Quick take
A six-piece assortment of carbon steel live shrimp hooks with fixed bait keepers for quick, secure rigging.
This is a six-piece set of barbed carbon steel live bait hooks with needle points, made for rigging live shrimp. It comes as two each of 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0, so one pack covers several bait sizes. Anglers going after bass, carp or catfish in fresh or salt water can keep it in the tackle box as a ready spread of sizes.
Best for
- Saltwater bottom fishing with live shrimp
- Anglers who want a quick-loading bait hook
- Testing different hook sizes without buying full packs
Skip if
- You prefer circle hooks for catch-and-release; these are fixed-keeper hooks
- You fish primarily freshwater
Strengths
- The fixed bait keeper holds shrimp naturally active without piercing
- Aviation-grade carbon steel resists saltwater corrosion
- Three sizes in one pack let you match shrimp size to the bite
Trade-offs
- Only six hooks means a limited trial; heavy use will deplete them quickly
- The bait keeper design is saltwater-specific and adds complexity
- Fixed keepers bend and require straightening after use
Fishing fit
- Water
- Saltwater
- Techniques
- Live bait
- Bottom fishing
