Quick take

Seven-inch fishing pliers with teflon-coated serrated jaws for cutting line and cinching knots.

Best for

  • Quick line cuts between presentations
  • Tightening and cinching down knots on the water
  • Handling fish and removing hooks safely

Skip if

  • You have a dedicated line cutter
  • You tie all knots at home before fishing

Strengths

  • Teflon coating prevents corrosion in salt water
  • Serrated jaws grip and hold hooks and line securely
  • Integrated cinch holes and bait tuning slots add versatility

Trade-offs

  • 7 inches is relatively small for large hands
  • Multi-function pliers are not optimized for any single task
  • Teflon coating may wear with repeated freshwater use
