Quick take
A portable digital hanging scale that weighs fish up to 110 pounds, with unit conversion, data locking, and auto-off features.
A handheld digital hanging scale that weighs catches up to 110 pounds (50 kg) and switches between pounds, ounces and kilograms. It has a backlit LCD, a tare function, data lock and overload indication, plus a rotating steel hook and a non-slip handle. At about 6 ounces and running on two AAA batteries, it fits easily in a tackle bag, and it also works as a luggage scale.
Best for
- Recording accurate fish weights in tournaments or at home
- Anglers who want to track their largest catches
- Portable fishing trips where a scale serves multiple purposes
Skip if
- You only fish for panfish under 2 pounds
- You need a scale with a Bluetooth app
Strengths
- Backlit LCD reads clearly in sunlight and at night
- Data locking function prevents accidental readout changes
- Compact and light at 6.2 oz; fits easily in a tackle bag
Trade-offs
- Rotating steel hook may slip if carabiners are not strong
- AAA battery power may drain quickly if not turned off manually
- The scale is not a luggage scale; fish oils may affect accuracy over time
