Quick take
Plastic hook safety caps in 5 sizes keep treble and J-hooks organized and safe in tackle boxes.
This set holds 100 yellow ABS plastic hook bonnets, 20 in each of five sizes, made to cap treble hooks in a tackle box. The hollow design lets a hook stay dry and keeps fingers away from the points while lures are stored or carried. It covers hook sizes from 10 up through 1/0, so one pack can fit a mix of crankbaits, spoons and other treble-rigged lures.
Best for
- Organizing tackle boxes with multiple hook types
- Protecting fingers and tackle boxes from sharp hooks
- Storing terminal tackle for long periods
Skip if
- You use hooks immediately after rigging
- You prefer larger hook storage solutions
Strengths
- 5-size assortment fits most common hook sizes
- 100-cap quantity handles large tackle collections
- Hollow design keeps hooks dry during storage
Trade-offs
- Caps can slip off during transport if not secure
- Takes time to cap and uncap 100 individual hooks
- Yellow color makes lost caps harder to spot in dark boxes
