Quick take
A pair of automatic folding bait traps that catch crabs, shrimp, and minnows without assembly.
This is a two-pack of collapsible bait traps from ieasky, built on a steel wire frame wrapped in double-layer nylon mesh. Each one opens to roughly 12.6 inches across and 20.1 inches tall, and folds down for carrying. Bait goes in a pouch, fish, crabs, shrimp or crawfish swim in through the funnel mouths, and a zipper opening lets you take the catch out. It suits anglers who want a compact, lightweight way to gather live bait or small crustaceans.
Best for
- Catching live minnows for bait in shallow water
- Trapping crabs and shrimp for use or table
- Transporting live bait without aerators
Skip if
- You need to catch large fish
- You want a permanent trap system
Strengths
- No assembly required; just open and bait
- Zipper opening makes it easy to remove your catch
- Double-layer mesh and steel frame stay durable
Trade-offs
- Nylon mesh tears if snagged on rocks
- Folds down small but heavy when wet
- Needs checking to prevent trapped bait from escaping
