Quick take
A reinforced PVC rod holder with tapered steel spike that folds flat for storage and drives into sand or mud at the bank.
Best for
- Hands-free fishing at the bank or beach
- Multi-rod setups where you need to monitor several lines
- Catfish and carp rigs during extended waits
Skip if
- Fishing from a boat where rod holders are built-in
- Very hard or rocky ground where the spike won't penetrate
Strengths
- PVC tube won't mark or dent fishing rods like metal holders
- Foldable design collapses for compact transport in tackle bags
- Works with almost any rod size and includes alarm bells to detect bites
Trade-offs
- Steel spike requires soft ground like sand, mud or grass to drive effectively
- Fixed height can't be adjusted once seated
- Alarm bells add weight and can rattle during transport

- Beginner
