Quick take
Weighted swimbait jig heads with spinning willow blades and spring keeper to hold soft lures in place.
This is a five-pack of 3/16 oz weighted swimbait hooks in a 3/0 to 5/0 size family, each with a spinning willow blade on a ball-bearing swivel. A spring keeper holds a soft plastic body in place, and the wide gap leaves room for a range of swimbait sizes. It suits bass anglers who want a bit of flash added to a swimbait rig.
Best for
- Soft plastic swimbaits in freshwater bass fishing
- Turning followers into biters with blade flash
- Aggressive bass that respond to dual attraction
Skip if
- You prefer unbladed jig heads for cleaner swimming
- You fish areas with heavy weed cover
Strengths
- Ball bearing swivel blade spins freely at any retrieve speed
- Spring keeper prevents soft lures from sliding during cast or fight
- Wide gap design accommodates wide variety of soft lure sizes
Trade-offs
- Blade can add unintended drag that slows soft lure swimming
- Spinning blade may attract undesired species
- Requires sharp hooks and spring keeper maintenance
